I am substituting this week for grade 2 teacher, Miss Jane. Its hard - i'll admit. But its moments like the following that make it all worth it...

Mona: ok grade 2, so what is a vowel?
Filip: um, the letters a e i o u
Mona: excellent! so if these letters are called vowels, what do we call the other letters?
Paulinka: reptiles?
